Schulen bilden Klimaheldinnen und Klimahelden aus

Über 50 österreichische Schulen nehmen heuer an dem Programm „Klimaschulen“ teil. Während des Jahres steht der Klimaschutz prominent auf dem Stundenplan, die Kinder und Jugendlichen beschäftigen sich mit Themen wie Konsum, Lebensstil und Ernährung. Finanziert wird das Projekt aus Mitteln des Klima- und Energiefonds, insgesamt stehen 500.000 Euro zur Verfügung.

Bildung 2030 - Klimaneutral und sozial gerecht

Auf der Plattform für globales Lernen und Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung finden sich Bildungsmaterialien als Downloads und zum Online-Lernen, Filme & Podcasts, Recherche in verschiedenen Bibliothekskatalogen sowie monatliche Medientipps zu den nachhaltigen Entwicklungszielen.

Im Zentrum des Bildungsmaterials "Klimaneutral und sozial gerecht" steht die Frage des Umbaus der Wirtschaft und der sozialen Gerechtigkeit vor dem Hintergrund des Klimawandels.

Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development

It helps people understand and address the impacts of the climate crisis, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes needed to act as agents of change.

The international community recognizes the importance of education and training to address climate change. The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Paris Agreement and the associated Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) agenda call on governments to educate, empower and engage all stakeholders and major groups on policies and actions relating to climate change.
